Tina Turner died of natural causes. This is confirmed by Turner’s spokesmen to the Daily Mail.

The news of the artist’s death came on Wednesday evening Norwegian time. She lived to be 83 years old.

The 83-year-old was out of the limelight for several years, after she put her career on the shelf in 2009.

In a documentary from 2021, she opened up about wanting to enter the last chapter of her life outside the limelight.

In an Instagram post in March, she opened up about the fact that she has been struggling with kidney failure. “My kidneys are victims of not realizing that my high blood pressure should have been treated with conventional medicine. I have put myself in great danger by refusing to accept reality and understand that I need daily, lifelong therapy with medication. For far too long I thought my body was an immovable and indestructible bastion,” she wrote in the post.

In 2018, Turner’s second autobiography “My Love Story” came out, in which she told, among other things, that she had undergone a kidney transplant.

She admitted that in her darkest days she thought about ending her own life with the help of doctor-assisted suicide, and she was in contact with an organization in Switzerland.
