– We feel for all of you who have lost a close friend, a dear teammate, a strong competitor and a great role model around the whole of Skytter-Norway. Julie will be deeply missed by so many.
Johannessen’s family is aware that Dagbladet mentions the death.
Participated in the championship for Norway
Julie Paulsen Johannessen has been part of the national shooting team since 2019. She has participated in the EC and WC for Norway.
– We want to stand with the family in their grief and help ensure that Julie’s memory is well taken care of, writes the shooting association.
Sports manager Tor Idar Aune received the news of the death with great sadness.
– It is incredibly sad and we are sorry. It hurts a lot, says Aune to Dagbladet.
The sports manager states that the 21-year-old died suddenly and unexpectedly. The cause of death is not known.
Paulsen Johannessen is described as an outstanding athlete and a great shooting talent who gave everything to succeed in his sport. In addition to being a warm and caring girl.

Thomas Ramsjø, leader of the Fredrikstad shooting team, tells Fredriksstad Blad that he received the tragic message on Tuesday.
– She was positive and always happy. A girl who really wanted to be good. She had big ambitions. Our thoughts go out to the family, and we just have to do our part to support them in this time, he says to the newspaper.
