“Tarkov” fans are clamoring for a new additional package for NOK 2,800

--

(PressFire.no): “Escape From Tarkov” developer Battlestate Games is in trouble after releasing a hogwash extra pack for the game called “The Unheard Edition”.

The package costs a whopping 250 dollars (around NOK 2,800) and includes, among other things, a so-called PvE mode that is locked to only those who have the package.

The criticism has also been that the package is so-called “pay to win”, because it allows people to start with better weapons, have more space for weapons and equipment – in addition to giving higher skill levels and equipment at the start.

Already objectionable, but worse, the company previously released another DLC pack, “Edge of Darkness”, which was a worst-case version of the game that promised buyers access to “all future DLC packs”.

Free access to all upcoming DLCs. In theory.

Nevertheless, none of those who spent 140 dollars have received “The Unheard Edition” and the new mode.

Instead, players who have this version will have to shell out an extra $100 to “upgrade” to the “Unheard” pack.

Fans consider the new pack to be a DLC pack since it contains a brand new mode, but the developers say that “The Unheard Edition” is not, but rather content unique to a new version of the game.

Community manager “appl3x0r” explains on the game’s official Discord channel.

It has made fans see red, and many believe that the company has lied to its customers. In social media, it has almost boiled over into criticism of the company, with several saying they will boycott the game.

It has also not helped that Battlestate Games has taken to Twitter to sulk about the competition in the market.

Jokingly, the upcoming game wrote that they are accepting “homeless looter shooters” for the beta test of their game.

Battlestate responded curtly:

– Have a nice twenty minutes in the obvious plagiarism game. In and out.

The developers have subsequently taken to Reddit and said that they will throw some crumbs to those who shelled out for the previous “Edge of Darkness” pack – and that they will also get access to PvE-the mode.

But only for six months, according to the Reddit post. Not unexpectedly, this has also resulted in more anger among fans.
