Motion Twin left Dead Cells several years ago, so Evil Empire has been the main developer of the game’s post-launch content. The latter includes the highly acclaimed Return to Castlevania expansion. That’s why it was a bit sad when we were told that both studios left Dead Cells two months ago. This means that Motion Twin is only focusing on Windblown, and now it seems we know what the Evil Empire is working on.

Tom Henderson, who has an impeccable track record when it comes to leaking Ubisoft titles, reveals that the Evil Empire has been working on a new Prince of Persia game for the past four years, and that they will be announcing the roguelite title later this year. However, that’s not all, as the French publisher is also preparing to launch the game as Early Access this year.

One of the reasons for this extremely rare launch of a Ubisoft game is that Evil Empire plans to follow in the footsteps of Dead Cells by constantly changing the game with free updates based on player feedback.

The only other thing we have learned about this roguelite Prince of Persia game is that the graphic design is inspired by Franco-Belgian comics, so it will definitely look quite different from Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown and Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake.
