– Goal in overtime against Djurgården, will it get better? It is absolutely king, says Bothheim to Discovery+.

The former Bodø/Glimt player became the big hero with his match-winning score. Tokmac Nguen stood out in a negative way.

In the 82nd minute of the game at 0–0, Nguen was on his way through, but was stopped by Malmö defender Derek Cornelius, who cheered unrestrainedly for the Norwegian.

Nguen responded by running down the Canadian and was ejected. The tackle led to big tumults between the teams – where Nguen scalped Malmö player Pontus Jansson in the chest. Finally, “Tokki” shuffled down the players’ tunnel and into the dressing room.

– Of course it is not good to push him after the game has been called off. But considering everything else that was allowed to pass, he could get away with the yellow card, says Djurgården coach Thomas Lagerlöf.

– He should have kept a cool head. You can’t be so angry that you react like that. It’s just unnecessary to put the team in this situation, said Discovery’s Swedish commentator.

– Incredibly stupid, he added.

But Nguen was supported by teammate and shooting star Lucas Bergvall.

– The red card is a shame, quite frankly. I don’t understand how the referee can give a red card in such an important phase of the match. Especially when it’s not a red card either. It is absolutely sick, says Bergvall.

The expulsion would turn out to be fateful for the hosts. Ten minutes later, Botheim scored the match-winner three minutes into overtime.

In March, Nguen transferred from Hungarian Ferencváros to Djurgården, where he has scored two goals in four games.

Botheim also transferred to Malmö in February. So far, he has six goals and two assists in nine games for the blue jerseys.
