– It is no secret that I want to go to Liverpool, it is clear that I want to work there, says Slot to ESPN.
The statement came ahead of Feyenoord’s away game against Go Ahead Eagles, which starts on Thursday at 9 p.m.
– The clubs are in negotiations, so I’m sitting on the fence. We have to wait until an agreement is reached, but I have full faith that they will manage it, continues the Feyenoord manager.

The 45-year-old Dutchman will be Liverpool’s favorite in the hunt for Jürgen Klopp’s replacement. On Wednesday afternoon, The Athletic reported that Liverpool were in negotiations with Feyenoord to buy the free Slot.
The first bid of nine million euros, i.e. approximately NOK 120 million, should have been rejected, the football website wrote.
According to the Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf, Feyenoord can demand up to 15 million euros for Slot. His contract expires in the summer of 2026.
Liverpool’s title chase took a hit when they lost 0-2 against city rivals Everton on Wednesday night. If Manchester City win their two hanging games, they will be five points ahead of Liverpool.
After the loss, Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk was positive about the rumors surrounding Slot.
– I think Slot is among the best Dutch coaches at the moment. “Given his philosophy and his style of play, I think he can become Liverpool manager,” van Dijk told Sky Sports – adding:
