Molde captain Magnus Wolff Eikrem’s partner Berit Ingeborgvik Talseth died on Friday night after a long illness.

The club confirms this in a press release.
The club will mark the death with a minute’s silence ahead of the elite series match against Aalesund on Sunday 18 September. The team will play the match with mourning bands, they say.

Molde further writes that they do not wish to comment on the matter beyond the press release at the present time.
The press release is signed by doctor Kjell Erik Strømskag and managing director Ole Erik Stavrum.
Several elite league clubs, including Rosenborg, Vålerenga and Viking, have sent their condolences to Eikrem and Molde on social media. The Norwegian Football Association (NFF) has also offered its condolences.
