– We have received information that there may be a threat to the Storting, but we do not know exactly what it is. The police are now working to find out what happened.

This is what the head of security at the Storting tells NRK.

– The PST is familiar with the situation and cooperates with the Oslo police district and assists when necessary, says senior adviser in the Police Security Service (PST) Eirik Veum to NRK.

The Storting’s press officer confirms to NRK that there is an ongoing situation. All entrances are closed due to the situation, and no one is allowed in or out.

It was Dagbladet that mentioned the case first.

In a message to the media, the police also write that they have received a threat, and therefore there are visible police in the area.

According to what NRK is informed, it is an unspecified threat.

No one is therefore allowed in or out.

The Storting’s Question Time continues for the time being as usual. Justice Minister Emilie Enger Mehl (Sp) was in question time when the threat became known, but it was not a topic from the podium.
