Mark Pasquine has been appointed head of department at the Department of International Business, Faculty of Economics. The faculty reports this in a press release on NTNU Nyheter.

For the past year, he has had the same position temporarily, so now it is clear that he will get it permanently. Pasquine will sit as head of the Ålesund-based institute until 2029.

The dean is well pleased

According to the faculty’s press release, Pasquine has a doctorate in marketing from the Norwegian School of Economics, NHH. He was associate professor II at NHH for eleven years, and has been employed at the Department of International Business (IIF) since 2010.

– I am very pleased that Mark Pasquine has now been formally appointed to the position he has held for the past year, says dean Monica Rolfsen in the press release.

– I know Mark as strategic, clear and capable of making decisions, while at the same time he is listening and inclusive. He also has an “outside view” and is good at networking, which is valuable for an institute and professional environment that is concerned with relations both nationally and internationally, says Rolfsen.

– Grateful for the trust

Pasquine has previously led a number of study programmes, as well as being responsible for supervising master’s theses and PhD candidates, in addition to teaching and research.

– I am grateful for the trust I have received to continue in my role as head of department, with the good working environment and the exciting tasks we have at IIF. We must maintain our active research environment and build strong interdisciplinary relationships, says Pasquine himself.
