News, Sandefjord municipality | Did you get the spring feeling yesterday? The last remnants of winter will soon arrive

--

The rule of thumb for when to change tires is the first Sunday after Easter Sunday if you have studded tyres. If you got the feeling of spring on Monday, when it was sunny and warm, you might already have started thinking a little about getting the tire change done.

But it might be a good idea to wait a few more days. This week, a new round of snow has been reported.

We are issuing a yellow warning for snow. In Sandefjord you will probably get some sleet, but the temperatures will probably drop to below zero degrees in the middle of the day on Thursday and will be around zero on Friday as well, says on-duty meteorologist Siri Wiberg.

As early as Thursday night, freezing temperatures and up to eight centimeters of snow have been reported. Also on Friday, there may be snow, which gradually changes to sleet and rain during the day.

After that, however, it looks like we are heading towards a real Norwegian spring.

During the weekend and at the beginning of next week, temperatures will rise again. Throughout the next week, highs of over ten degrees are reported every day.

According to the forecasts, the weather will vary from slightly cloudy to sunny, before there will be a few days where it may be a bit cloudy and rain. In other words, a real Norwegian spring; or varied weather conditions as the scholars say.
