Roger Notøy opened his eyes when he came driving past Høgskolen på Vestlandet in Inndalsveien on the afternoon of Easter Monday.

A white car drove to the right. The problem was that this car was in the middle of the track that is intended only for the Bybanen.

– It is madness. I hardly dare to think about what would have happened if the Bybanen had come at high speed. It is, after all, a train that weighs a lot. The car had been peeled open like a sardine can, says Notøy.

Haven’t turned off

It is the first time he himself has seen a car in the light rail track here.

– I was a little shocked, because the Bybanen comes all the time. The car drove calmly, before it swerved to the right, says Notøy.

He thinks the mistake must have happened a little further south.

– There you have to turn left. Once you have entered the wrong path, it is too late to turn around, says Notøy.

Good enough signage?

He shares the video with BT so that more people will become aware of the problem that can arise if you don’t follow closely enough.

– Maybe the signage could have been better, I don’t know, says Notøy.
