Geir Aker (48) has been with “Kompani Lauritzen” since the first season in 2020. There he only goes by the name Fenrik, even though he was actually a captain in the Armed Forces.
In 2005, he made a value choice and left the Armed Forces, even though he was encouraged to seek further education there. That would mean more traveling and maybe even moving.
– The answer was simple: I wanted more time with the children. I will never get the time with them back, Geir told VG in 2021.

Ensign in “Kompani Lauritzen”
Now his daughter has turned 21, and his son is 18. Recently, the father of two was a guest on the podcast “Familiekoden kjendis” with presenter Katrine Moholt (50) and child psychologist Reidar Hjermann (55).
Here he was asked what the difference is between the ensign on TV and Geir as a father.
– It would have been lovely to just answer: “Nothing”. It would have created a bit of an atmosphere out there, I think, but there are enough differences, and I often get questions about “Yes, is it like that at home?”, “Is it so tidy?” and “Is it that clean?”. And the answer is no, because it is, after all, a home.
He explains that there has been both chaos and disagreements at home, and that they probably have a relatively normal home.
In “Kompani Lauritzen”, his role as an ensign is a strict rule rider, but often with a twinkle in his eye when he reprimands the celebrities. The similarity with the father role is that Geir is also strict.
– I spoke to my daughter yesterday at the latest, and told her that I was going to visit you, and then I asked: Do you think I’m strict? “Yes.” Cards and cash. So she has the label on me as a father that I am strict. But not only. For me, too strict is a lot about being clear, but there must be some justice there.
– If it is only strict and not fair, then I think it will be unbalanced. And for me strictness is about taking care of children for future dangers and challenges, he says in “Familiekoden kendis”.

Father of two
In the podcast, he says that, among other things, he has been quite strict about indoor times.
– If they came late, I could get angry. And then we had to talk about what’s behind it: “Yes, but I’m scared.” I’m afraid that something has happened, and then I can’t convey it at the moment, so then I got angry instead. But I was really scared because I’m very fond of you and want you to do well.”
– We’ve also had the opportunity to talk about feelings substituting for each other, that anger appears where there was actually fear, and behind it was simply love, he explains.
“Kompani Lauritzen” is broadcast on TV 2 on Wednesday at 21.40 and Saturday at 8 p.m.
