– It is dramatic for Molde

--

In the 78th minute, Stian Kristiansen scored 2–1 for Sandefjord and then 3–1 through Aleksander Damnjanovic Nilsson.

That was also the end result.

Coach Erling Moe had to explain the loss to the Molde supporters after the match.

– It is dramatic for Molde, says Simen Stamsø-Møller in the TV 2 studio – and points out that Bodø/Glimt are also winning.

At home, Glimt won 1–0 over Strømsgodset.

– It would have been one thing if they had played well and the match had wavered, but Sandefjord have clearly been the best after the break, says Stamsø-Møller.

– We look like an Obosliga team in this 1st half, said Magnus Wolff Eikrem to TV 2 in the half-time interview.

Fredrik Gulbrandsen duly gave Molde the lead in the 34th minute. He hammered the ball over the crossbar and down. Isak Amundsen was responsible for the assist.

Sandefjord equalized in the 64th minute and had previously had a goal disallowed. It was impossible to see with the naked eye, but VAR ruled that Eman Markovic was offside.

Simon Amin was behind the 1-1 scoring after preparation from Christopher Cheng.

The 2–1 goal came when Stian Kristiansen towered highest on Filip Ottosson’s inswinging corner. He headed the ball into the goal via a Molde back.

Molde woke up after the score, and Erling Moe’s men chased an equalizer on the Vestfold coast.

There was a cannonade against Sandefjord goalkeeper Hugo Keto towards the end in a game with seven minutes added on in the second half.

In overtime, Kristian Eriksen and Halldor Stenevik had a double chance – but Keto was in the impossible corner.

Then Sandefjord put the nail in the coffin with 3–1. It was a fantastic preparation by Danilo Al-Saed who humiliated the Molde defense before laying the ball on a silver platter for goalscorer Aleksander Damnjanovic Nilsson.

– We have worked hard, and today we finally get paid for our hard work, says Nilsson to TV 2.

– We stick to the game plan. That’s why we win.

Sandefjord has had a terrible start to the season both in the league and in the cup, where they went out in the first round away to Fløy.

– I think we deserved to win, says Sandefjord coach Hans Erik Ødegaard.

– We have the same approach against all opponents. But it is of course even better to do it against a good opponent like Molde.
