When Jürgen Klopp was supposed to hold his press conference on Friday, he was late for the second time in a row. He blamed Sky Sports, and that it was a good interview that took time.

In the last week, he has talked a lot about the squad he is leaving behind when he and the support staff leave the club in the summer. He also talks about that in this interview.

– I called it “Liverpool 2.0”, and Liverpool 2.0 does not stop after I leave. It’s just that you start again, with a new project. That’s the way it is, and that’s what we’ve done. We have a very good stable and as I see it we have had an excellent time.

Will be in the stands

Klopp may not be Liverpool’s manager anymore, but he will return to Anfield and watch games in the stands.

– It will be super difficult not to be part of it anymore, in the way that I am part of it now, because I will be part of it. I want to come and watch the games, and if the new manager, whoever he is, doesn’t want me to be in the stands, I won’t care about it this time, he says.

– I don’t think the new manager will care, but it was always a bit like that when I was in Mainz and in Dortmund. You don’t go as a Dortmund manager to see Mainz’s games. When I was in Dortmund and I came to Liverpool, I didn’t have time to go to Dortmund, so I will go there to watch football matches as well.

He says he would not have changed a thing in his nearly nine years in the manager’s chair.

– I would not have changed anything about how I have spent my last nine years. I don’t want to think “oh I should have done that” or “I should have done this”. Right place, right moment, absolutely fantastic.

Liverpool – Tottenham will be played at 17.30, and will be shown on V Sport PL and Viaplay.
