There are only two games left at Anfield with Jürgen Klopp as manager. Now all the flags will come out, and The Kop will be decorated for a party.

The manager himself is also concerned with getting the most out of the remaining time. He writes that in today’s match programme.

– I have always said that I am not in such a mode where I focus on my own situation, and that has not changed. The time to reflect will come, but is not now. At the same time, it is indisputable that these last two home games will be my last at Anfield as manager, he writes in Sunday’s match programme.

– Hopefully we can make the most of the last time we have together. For me that means playing good football, standing with our people, doing everything we can to make Anfield a special place and Liverpool the incredible club it is.

Qualified for the Champions League

The manager also writes that the club is now qualified for the Champions League next season, after Tottenham failed to beat Chelsea on Thursday. Number four is the worst the Reds can be in the table this season.

– That we managed to get over the line and get the Champions League was a very important goal, he writes.

– We had fun in the Europa League this season, and would have liked to have been involved a little longer than we were, but at the same time we all know how important Champions League football is for this club. At the same time, it is helpful for the future, and emphasizes the progression we have had compared to where we were last season.

– We also know that this is the goal of our opponent, and it says a lot about the job Ange Postecoglou has done at Tottenham that they are involved in it in his first season there. I think anyone who has seen Spurs play this season will have admired the way they play and I am definitely one of them.

Liverpool – Tottenham will be played on Sunday at 17.30, and will be shown on V Sport PL and Viaplay.
