One person arrested in armed police action on Romerike

The police have arrested a person at an address in Bjørkelangen. The perpetrator had a firearm at the time of arrest, says operations manager Svein Walle in the police East to NRK.
The police reported the arrest of x at 00:44 on Friday night.
On Thursday evening, armed police moved out following reports of a threatening situation at Bjørkelangen in Akershus.
The police earlier asked people to stay indoors because there was an ongoing operation.
It was VG who first reported on the case.
At midnight, on the night of Friday, the police announced in an update that there was nothing to indicate that there was a danger to the public, but urged people to keep their distance from areas where there was police activity.
– We have an idea who this is, but we have not located the person yet, said operations manager Svein Walle, in the East police district to NRK earlier.
According to the police, the incident started at a fast food restaurant in the area. Several people called the police and reported a person with a weapon.
– They saw the man as threatening and therefore called the police, says Walle.
No injuries have been reported.
The Oslo police district assisted with a helicopter in the police operation. Dog patrols and emergency teams were also present, according to Walle.
