The incident concerns a possible sexual offense at a Sexhibition fair in the capital Helsinki on Saturday, writes the Finnish newspaper Helsingin Sanomat.
The police have launched an investigation, but it has not been established that anything criminal has taken place, according to the newspaper.
Thinks woman was too drunk
The reason for the investigation concerns a session on stage, where a volunteer from the audience had sex with a person referred to as a “professional performer”.
The volunteer will be a young woman, according to newspaper Iltalehti.
Several in the audience must have reacted to the woman’s degree of intoxication, and whether she understood what was going on and had given her consent to it, writes Helsingin Sanomat.
Claims she passed out
This should also have become the subject of discussions on the Internet afterwards, where it was speculated that the woman was very drunk, according to Iltalehti.
On Monday, the same newspaper wrote that the feature with the female audience member had been interrupted earlier than planned because the woman had fainted on stage.
This is rejected by the organizers.
To Iltalehti, one of the organizers, Terhi Westerberg, says that the woman was taken down from the stage earlier than planned at the request of the professional performer on stage. Furthermore, he denies that the woman fainted during the session, and says her health was checked both before and after the session.
– Speculation that the assistant passed out on stage is not true, write the organizers in an email to Helsingin Sanomat.
It is further stated that the organizers always have a chat with those who want to volunteer on stage to make sure they understand what they are signing up to participate in, and to get their consent. This was also done on Saturday, according to the organisers.
According to Helsingin Sanomat, the police have not yet been in contact with the organizers regarding the accusations.
