Jeffrey Dahmer: – Restaurant slaughtered for “cannibal pizza”

One of the autumn’s big TV talk shows is the Netflix series “Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story”. Here we meet Evan Peters in the role of one of the worst serial killers and sex offenders in recent times.

Between 1978 and 1991, Jeffrey Dahmer raped, killed, dismembered and mutilated at least 17 men and boys.

Dahmer even went so far as to eat parts of the corpses he had dismembered. It would give him the nickname “The Milwaukee Cannibal”.

The Netflix success has sparked renewed interest in Dahmer. With Halloween just around the corner, Capital Pizza in the city of Lubbock, Texas, therefore decided to put an out-of-the-ordinary spooky touch on the venue’s Halloween decorations.

– It was one of our waiters who came up with the idea. She made the pizza and decorated it as a fun prop for Halloween, says restaurant manager Kiefer Slusher-Davidson to local newspaper Everything Lubbock.

The pizza in question consists of a foam-based base topped with ramen noodles mixed with fake blood, artificial body parts and pepperoni garnish.

On a sign just below the dish with the macabre dish, it says “Jeffrey Dahmer Special”.

It is worth noting that the dish has never been listed on the restaurant’s pizza menu.

– It’s a funny prop. I guess it will either become famous or infamous, adds the restaurant manager TMZ.

According to Slusher-Davidson, several parents have taken pictures of the “pizza” with their children posing next to it.

However, the “cannibal pizza” has not been to everyone’s liking. In social media, many are butchering Capital Pizza to glorify Dahmer and his horrific actions.

The critics call the prop “disgusting” and “disturbing”. Many believe the Dahmer-inspired pizza is disrespectful towards the victims’ families.

“Of course it’s not real, but I really don’t like how people can be so detached when it comes to the crimes he committed. I understand that it can be exciting because you don’t hear about people eating people every day. But you also have to remember that this really happened,” writes Twitter user BoujeeB. WithTheTea.

She further writes that the victims’ families are still alive and must see how others glorify a person who killed their loved ones. At the same time, she makes a point that one would not see something similar being done in connection with a school shooting.

“I guarantee you won’t see people doing an ‘Uvalde Special’ or a ‘Sandy Hook Special.’ So what I want to know is why is it different in the case of Jeffrey Dahmer?” BoujeeB asks. WithTheTea.

“It is sick. There is nothing funny about this pizza and the sick things Jeffrey Dahmer did to people,” writes another.

The Capital Pizza manager tells TMZ that he plans to remove the Dahmer special after Halloween. At the same time, he repeats that it was only meant to be fun.

But it is not just as a macabre “dish” that Dahmer leaves his mark on this year’s All Saints Eve.

In 2021, “everyone” should dress in tracksuits with the number of their favorite participant in the serial success “Squid Game” on the back. And this year it is once again Netflix that seems to be setting the tone on the costume front.

Earlier, TMZ reported that major American department stores have stopped selling Jeffrey Dahmer-inspired costumes. That prompted people to flock to online stores like eBay to buy blonde wigs, retro tops and glasses.

An eBay spokesperson told Buzzfeed that the platform is actively removing ads related to the costumes for policy violations related to violence and violent criminals.

The decision probably comes on the basis of criticism from the relatives of the murder victims who recently told TMZ that it is already very traumatizing that Netflix has made a series about Dahmer, unless people are also going to dress up as the murderer, writes KK.
