Egor Filipenko (34) from the program “Shall we dance: all star” must now put his dancing shoes on the shelf and get off the floor. The well-known professional dancer has been struggling with neck pain as a result of neck prolapse for the past week.

In a press release issued by TV 2, it appears that Filipenko must resign after speaking to both a doctor and support staff.

– I told you in advance

He has been Katrine Moholt’s (49) dance partner.

– I am not a person who gives up and have really done everything I could to continue dancing with Katrine, but since Thursday last week I have been in constant pain. This was the last thing I wanted, but unfortunately it was no longer possible. I wish Katrine and Tarjei lots of luck, and will be sitting in the hall cheering them on on Saturday, says Filipenko.

New partner

Even if Filipenko withdraws, Moholt will remain in the popular program. According to TV 2, she will have a new dance partner in Tarjei Svalastog (23).

The referee made a mistake on the live stream

He has participated earlier in the season and was knocked out last week with Martine Lunde.

– It is terribly sad that Egor has now been injured, after we have trained for hours every day for eight weeks together. We’ve had so much fun at every training session, and Egor has been a wonderful teacher and friend, whom I’m so fond of. I wish him a very good recovery and hope he recovers quickly. At the same time, I am very happy that Tarjei wants to continue the journey with me. It will be exciting for both of us, to find the chemistry and be dancing together in just a few days. Tarjei is raw, so I have faith. On Saturday we dance the rumba for Egor, says Katrine Moholt.

Rejoices

Svalastog is also looking forward to continuing the dance season with Moholt, but emphasizes that he is taking over with mixed feelings as Filipenko is injured.

Hooked up with an unknown woman

– I am looking forward to continuing in “Shall we dance: all stars” together with Katrine. Egor has previously been my dance coach, and now I take over his project with humility. It is sad when someone has to cancel due to injury and I wish him a speedy recovery, says Tarjei Svalastog.

TV 2’s program editor, Kathrine Haldorsen, also thinks it is a shame that Filipenko has to resign.

– We think it is an incredible shame for both Egor and Katrine that he now has to give up in “Shall we dance: all stars”, but it was not justifiable for him to continue. His health naturally comes first, and the most important thing is that he will now be completely well again. We would like to thank Egor for his fantastic efforts, and wish him a speedy recovery. And of course we are very happy that Tarjei is sporty and steps in as Katrine’s new dance partner at short notice, says Haldorsen.
