On Tuesday, the police carried out crime scene investigations at the Rush trampoline park in Kokstad after an 18-year-old boy injured himself.
– At 1530 the police received a report about an accident that had happened at a trampoline park earlier in the day. A school class had been visiting the park and one of the pupils had been injured in an accident, operations manager Eivind Hellesund tells BA.
According to the police, the boy is not injured in a life-threatening manner.
– The boy must have complained of severe pain in the pelvis and hip, says Hellesund.
Operations director for Rush, Christine Grieg-Lie, confirms in an e-mail to BA that the accident happened in one of their trampoline parks.
– We had a serious incident in our park today where a boy was injured. The most important thing for us has been to follow up the boy and make sure that those he was with were well looked after, writes Grieg-Lie.
– Has the highest priority
The accident must have happened at a slide or slide in the park.
– There should not have been air in a mattress in the landing area. Then the question is why there was no air in this mattress. It is something we have to find out, says Hellesund.
Grieg-Lie says they are following up the incident with internal investigations.
– This incident has the highest priority and we are following up with internal investigations and possible measures. We have also had a dialogue with the police who have been and investigated, and that the incident has been reported to DSB.
DSB stands for the Directorate for Social Security and Emergency Preparedness.
The police, who have opened an investigation case, have spoken to the school and carried out investigations in the trampoline park.
