The role of the local, perhaps slightly naive sex worker Lucia at the hotel The White Lotus in Sicily sends the Italian Simona Tabasco (born in 1994) to Hollywood. This week the actor from Naples signed with American WME alias William Morris Endeavor; the world’s largest talent agency.
Apart from the international boom, Simona is fond of the charming, mysterious escort girl she plays.

A new global star, but Simona Tabasco is not a newcomer to the industry.
Before Mike White, creator of the satirical HBO dramedy, booked the 28-year-old, she had 55,000 Instagram followers. But after her role as Lucia, she currently has 264,000 followers on IG.

Simona is not a nepo baby, although her father works in the advertising industry.

Her twin brother, Marco Tabasco, is also an actor. Unlike his sister, he currently has a short CV.
After studying in Rome (where she still lives) at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia; the oldest film school in Europe, Simona got the role of the Muslim girl Aida Merlissi in the high-school series Fuoriclasse in 2013.

The following year, the teenager made his debut as a film actor in Perezwhere she plays the daughter of the lead actor.
The critically acclaimed drama premiered at the Venice Film Festival and earned Simona her first acting award.

The 20-year-old won the Silver Ribbon alias Nastro d’Argento; which is awarded by the Nazionale Giornalisti Cinematografici Italiani, the interest organization for Italian film journalists.

After a total of four Italian films and five TV series, since 2020 Simona has had the role of Elisa Russo in the drama Doc – Nelle tue maniawhich takes place in the fictional hospital Policlinico Ambrosiano in Milan.
