The Polish Foreign Ministry says a Russian-made rocket landed in the village of Prezewodow at 1540 local time on Tuesday. That is written by Reuters. The city is just over six kilometers from the border with Ukraine.

Poland has summoned the Russian ambassador and is demanding a quick and detailed explanation.

However, President Andrzej Duda says the country currently has no clear evidence of who fired the rocket at the village. He says it is very likely that Poland will trigger Article 4 in Nato at tomorrow’s crisis meeting.

He says there is no indication that what happened on Tuesday will happen again, and that it was probably a one-off.

Later on Wednesday night, President Joe Biden spoke to reporters in Bali during the G20 meeting. He says there is preliminary information that contradicts that the rockets were fired from Russia.

– It is unlikely given the course of the rockets that they came from Russia, but we will see, he told reporters at the G20 meeting in Indonesia, according to Sky News.

Earlier on Tuesday, before speaking to reporters in Indonesia, he called President Duda and sent his condolences after two Polish citizens were killed by missiles.

Duda explained to Biden that Poland is investigating what happened, and Biden promised Poland full support from the United States in the investigation.

Biden also reiterated the US’s commitments to NATO.

A senior US intelligence source told the AP earlier Wednesday night that it was Russian missiles that killed two Polish citizens.

If it turns out that a Russian missile has hit, it will be the first time since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine on 24 February that a NATO country has been attacked.
