Ruter’s travel app came second in the “Midsize business” category at Fast Company’s Innovation by Design Awards, which took place in New York on Thursday evening.
Ruter launched its new travel app in 2021, and it has already won gold in the European Design Awards, a prize in Visuelt and the DOGA mark for design and architecture. Now it can also boast a significant international price.
– A prize in Fast Company’s “Innovation by Design Awards” is one of the biggest things you can win in the field of innovation, creativity and product. Just being nominated is great, and a podium place is therefore something we at NoA Ignite are very proud of, says head of NoA Ignite Norway, Kristine Bjørnstad in a press release on Friday.
The app also received an “honorable mention” in the category “Enduring impact: 15 + years in business”.
The awards were presented in New York during the Fast Company Innovation Festival on Thursday.
– Innovation and creativity are central when we are to create the best digital products in the market. Receiving this award from FastCompany is not only incredibly great, but also an important recognition of our work where we always put quality and innovation first
NoA Ignite has worked with Ruter for almost 10 years, and as one of their strategic partners they have worked to further develop their service offering and digital products.
– The Ruter app not only makes it easier to travel by public transport. It also shows walking and cycling routes as part of the travel suggestions, as well as giving you the opportunity to search for travel and buy tickets in the same app. Together with Ruter employees, Bakken & Bæck and Shortcut, NoA Ignite is still a part of the interdisciplinary team working with Ruter.
