On Saturday evening, it was decided who will represent Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest in May. It was the former winner of the singing competition, Loreen.

With that, she beat the Norwegian twin duo Marcus and Martinus. They participated with the song Air, and came second with 138 points. Loreen won with 177 points.

If we are to believe the experts and the odds lists, she is likely to win Eurovision with the song “Tattoo”. In that case, it will be the second time she wins the singing competition. She also won the ESC in 2012 with the huge hit “Euphoria”.

Despite the singer’s tears of joy and smiles, the controversy has not been long in coming, and she is now facing a possible plagiarism scandal.

It is the Spanish newspaper ABC, which first mentioned the similarity between “Tattoo” and Pont Aeris’ “Flying Free”.

– The line between plagiarism and tribute is very fine in this song, writes the Spanish newspaper.

According to ABC, “Flying free” is a “very well-known song” in the electronic music scene in Spain.

Good evening Norway has been in contact with Niklas Torsell from Universal Sweden, who says that Loreen does not want to comment on the accusations.
