Smaine was only 31 years old.

The accident happened in Japan, when Smaine drove down a mountain, before being caught in a snow slide in Nagano on the island of Honshu.

According to a spokesperson from the local police, several people must have been involved – or witnessed the avalanche, which took Smaine and another person with it. The latter has not been identified, writes Reuters.
