Golf legend Tiger Woods was married to Swede Elin Nordegren when he cheated on her with waitress Mindy Lawton back in 2007. The news finally broke, but it has been claimed that the affair was doused for two years.
The National Enquirer tabloid photographed Woods and Lawton in a secret meeting alone together in a car. In August of the same year, Woods appeared in a large portrait interview and photo shoot in the magazine Men’s Fitness. Both newspapers are owned by American Media.
It was no accident that Woods appeared in this interview – it was as a result of an agreement that the paparazzi photos should not be printed. Although this has long been alleged, it has never been confirmed.

David Pecker, who was chief executive of American Media at the time, has admitted in court that he bought the mentioned paparazzi photos of Woods and Lawton. He used these as means of pressure to get the golf star to appear in a 12-page interview. This is reported by several American media, including Fox News.
“David Pecker with a shocking admission regarding Tiger Woods’ sex scandal”, writes the newspaper.
The admission from Pecker came in the so-called hush money case against former US President Donald Trump.
The interview in 2007 bought Woods time, but in 2009 the infidelity stories still hit the media worldwide. The following year, Woods and Nordegren separated after six years.
