Wallem has done well as a retrained midfielder at the start of the season. In the first eight series rounds in the Eliteserien, the 22-year-old has played all the minutes, with the exception of one match where he served his suspension.

In the past, Wallem has featured as both winger and winger, but this year he has impressed in a more central midfield role in Pål Arne “Paco” Johansen’s team.

Now, however, Odd’s career may be coming to an end.

Nettavisen can reveal that Slavia Praha has made a concrete push for Wallem. According to the information, they should have put forward a bid, but Odd will want more in order to sell his midfield profile.

Nettavisen is currently not aware of the exact sum the Czechs have offered, but the Prague club should still not have put aside their desire to reach an agreement with Odd regarding a transfer this summer.

Just before Christmas, Wallem extended the contract with Odd until the summer of 2026. Thus, Slavia must pay good money to buy the fast-moving midfielder on a free transfer.

Internally at Odd, they must already be prepared for Wallem to disappear this summer.

He joined the club from Arendal in January 2021.

In Slavia, Wallem can become teammates with Christos Zafeiris and Igoh Ogbu. They were both bought by the club from the Eliteserien after the previous season from Haugesund and Lillestrøm respectively.

The transfer window in the Czech Republic opens already on 21 June. In Norway, the clubs cannot buy players before 1 August.

According to Nettavisen’s understanding, Slavia has spent a lot of time in Norway recently. They were present at the match between Odd and Lillestrøm earlier in May, before they were at Åråsen on 16 May to take a closer look at, among other things, LSK’s in-form striker Akor Adams.

Slavia Praha finishes in 2nd place in the Czech league this season.
