The police received information about the incident at around 12.20 on Tuesday afternoon, and moved to the department store with several patrols.

The man was found in a car in the car park outside the department store. The police initially stated that the man received life-saving first aid. He has now been taken to hospital and is described as seriously injured.

– The person who was shot was a passenger in a taxi. We have control over the taxi driver, who is considered a witness, says operations manager Gjermund Stokkli to Dagbladet.

The police have located the scene of the shooting to be at Furuset church.

The injured person was then transported to the car park outside Ikea in the taxi, Stokkli says.

– The taxi driver drove to Ikea to get away, explains Stokkli.

Stokkli further says that the police are now looking for one perpetrator who ran away from the scene near the church.

There were witnesses who reported the shooting to the police.

– We have control over a number of witnesses who saw all or parts of the incident, says the operations manager.

She further says that there is probably a relationship between the offended man and the perpetrator. However, she does not want to go into any more detail about this.

– It does not appear to be a random victim, says Nilsen.

Dagbladet’s reporter at the scene says that there is a police helicopter in the air in the area. The police have also launched a search with dogs.

None of the people Dagbladet has spoken to have heard gunshots.

Forensic investigations were carried out both outside Ikea at Furuset and outside Furuset church.

A large area by the church, which also includes the car park, has been cordoned off, reports Dagbladet’s reporter at the scene.

In an update just before 2 p.m., the police state that the area around Ikea has been cleared by the police and the car has been towed in.

– We are still working at the scene at Furuset church, the police write.
