Apple Watch Ultra is SOLD OUT: Here’s how it works

--

The press got to check out the new products Apple presented last night.

Will be too big for many

There were absolutely no surprises yesterday. Not only did Apple only launch the three products that were rumored in advance, but everything we had heard about the iPhone 14 series turned out to be true – even the CAD leak of the Apple Watch Ultra was correct, as was the fact that Apple would use the new sensor -area of the iPhone 14 Pro to notifications was correct.

The price increase was also correct, but even though all models are now more expensive, especially the iPhone 14 Pro Max, which costs NOK 2,000 more than its predecessor, it also starts with 128GB of storage space.

Everyone was wrong at first

At first it was rumored that the “Watch Pro”, which Apple instead dubbed the Ultra, was to be equipped with a 47 or 48 mm dial. Instead, the latest rumors before the launch, and when the covers leaked, were that Apple chose to go all the way up to 49 mm. It may be too big for some, so just watch the videos below.

Then the price of NOK 9,990 will also be hard to swallow for many who will probably instead go for a Series 8 which costs half as much and comes in smaller sizes.

Already sold out

Those of you who had hoped to be able to wait until about now and still get one in your mailbox on launch day 23 September will be disappointed, because all variants are sold out.

It only comes in titanium, but you can choose a number of straps and define how big they should be.

“Titanium case, Alpine Loop in orange” with medium large strap can is sent after 4 to 5 weeks, so does the largest model – the smallest can be shipped from 12 to 15 working days.

If you want a “Trail Loop” band in black/grey, you have to wait even longer: 6 to 7 weeks for both sizes.

The “Ocean Band i midnatt” strap has a 3 to 4 week delivery time. If you choose white or yellow, you only need to wait 12 to 15 working days (a postcode in Eastern Norway estimates delivery to 27 September to 30 September.) The strap is “one size” and fits wrists from 130 mm to 200 mm.
