On the occasion of Princess Ingrid Alexandra’s 18th birthday, the Royal House will share new photos of the now adult princess on Friday.
The photos were taken in the Upper Vestibule at the Castle. In the pictures, she wears a Grand Cross of the Order of St. Olav and King Harald V’s House Order, which she was awarded by the King on her 18th birthday on 21 January.

This is the first time the Princess uses these decorations. In addition, she wears miniatures of the Royal House’s 100th anniversary medal and HM King Harald V’s anniversary medal 1991-2016.
On her head, the princess has a tiara adorned with pearls and diamonds. It has been inherited from the princess’ great-great-grandmother, Princess Ingeborg of Sweden.
– It means a lot to me that Princess Ingrid Alexandra has received this piece of jewelry, says Princess Astrid. She says in a press release that the tiara was bought by Prince Carl for his wife during the World’s Fair in Paris in 1900.
122 years later, the young princess tonight wears the same tiara during a gala dinner at the Palace, the court states in a press release.
Ingrid Alexandra turned 18 on January 21 this year, but the day was marked on Thursday this week.
