Unpredictable

Worthington sacrificed almost everything for his addiction to alcohol.

After “Avatar”, he recognized cities around the world not by their famous attractions, but by their favorite bars.

Before flights, he often drank four or five glasses of Champagne, something his wife Lara Bingle (35) told him she had never seen anyone do before.

– Didn’t dare tell the family

– I couldn’t see it. I thought it was normal, says the Hollywood star and continues:

– I didn’t like who I was. Drinking helped me through the day.

Worthington admits to the website that he often started drinking early in the morning.

Furthermore, he says that alcohol made him erratic, jeopardized his career and almost ended the relationship.

Struggled with alcohol: – Pissed on me

Life changes

During the 13 years between the “Avatar” films, the star’s life has changed a lot. He has managed to get married and have three sons, Rocket (6), Racer (4) and River (1).

After eight years sober, Worthington is now also in a much better place as he prepares to front and promote the “Avatar” sequel, which opens Dec. 16.
