Connect offers a user-friendly and efficient solution for invoicing via SMS, with over 20% of customers making direct payments. Through Mobile Invoice, the service enables customers to quickly and easily pay their invoices via mobile, which not only improves the customer experience and strengthens customer relationships, but also reduces credit times and promotes environmentally friendly practices. With a Nordic rollout on the way, Connect works towards meeting the needs of various companies by offering flexible and reliable SMS communication for payment processes.

SMS continues to dominate the market as the fastest growing channel for marketing and communication, with an impressive open rate of 98%. It is a figure that no other channel comes close to. At Sergel Connect, a business area within the Sergel Group, we strongly believe in streamlining and improving communication around payment processes via SMS. After successfully offering the Mobile Invoice service in Sweden, the service and Connect’s other SMS services are now being rolled out in Norway.

Connect supports payment processes by offering the Mobile Invoice service. The service enables, among other things, advance payment or the sending of invoice reminders via SMS, but can be used for all types of invoicing. Mobile invoice gives the customer the opportunity to easily and quickly make their payments directly on their mobile with their preferred payment option, with the option of secure login which guarantees that the right person gets access to the invoice. A full 20% of those who receive SMS invoices pay directly. This makes it easier to pay, but it also contributes to a positive customer experience and strengthens the customer relationship.

Many people find it challenging to handle paying their bills, even if they are willing to handle them. The large number of paper invoices with different due dates, in addition to digital invoices via e-mail or digital mailboxes, as well as salaries that are paid late in the month, can lead to forgetting or losing a bill. With SMS invoices, the solution is simple. It is becoming increasingly important to offer customers flexible solutions, which not only increases the likelihood of receiving payment faster, but also reduces credit times. Mobile invoices are also a more sustainable solution. By reducing the use of paper and transport, the service contributes to a more environmentally friendly business through reduced emissions.

With Mobile Invoice, you get the opportunity to formulate short messages with clear calls to action, which gives your customers the opportunity to handle payments directly. The customer is reached anywhere, at any time. The payment is made easily via a link in the SMS and with the payment option that the customer prefers. Statistics show that 90% of recipients click on the link within 45 minutes, underscoring the effectiveness of using SMS as a channel for invoice reminders or advance payments. This gives the customer the flexibility to pay the invoice directly, whether on the way to work, at home on the sofa, or even when they are out shopping. Connect strives to meet the needs of different target groups through preventive work and a focus on payment processes, and sees simplicity as the key to success. Connect continues its work to help customers get more people to pay. With SMS invoicing, payment handling is taken into the future, where agility and efficiency are fundamental for a positive customer experience.

Rollout in the Nordics
Sergel is betting heavily on expansion into the Nordics, and Connect is now starting its Nordic rollout. Connect’s services have been established on the Swedish market for about a decade and will soon be offered on the Norwegian market. The long-term plan is to include Denmark and Finland in the rollout in due course. This plan provides the opportunity to gradually introduce the services throughout the Nordic region and give the market the attention it deserves.

“In addition to mobile invoicing, Connect can offer various types of SMS communication, depending on the customer’s wishes. This can happen either via a web interface or API, enabling direct communication from their own systems such as CRM and invoicing systems”
Says David Nilsson, Key Account Manager Sergel Connect.
