– Then there will be an opening party, yes, and we will continue with very good offers on large parts of the goods we have in the store, says Amalie Vedde Røyseth.
Took over premises
She is temporary store manager for Monica Bergmann, and these days there is hectic activity in the premises to be ready for the opening.
-We started in a large room when we came to Kremmergaarden many years ago. Then it got smaller when we got here to this venue. Now the shop is getting bigger again, she says.
The reason for the expansions is the opportunity that came to you when Narvesen closed the shop a short time ago. And now there is a small armada of people in place to make everything ready.
– Normally there are five of us who work here. Right now there are many people who are busy placing goods, says Amalie.
ARK has not been content with simply expanding the bookshop.
Changed everything
– No, we turned everything around with a proper refurbishing when we first started, but during the whole process we managed to keep the store open for our customers. It has gone well, although there has been some action, she says.
There are, in a sense, two stores we are talking about here. Because midway between the old and the new, the passage and the stairs go down to Kiwi on the lower floor.
– There was nothing we could do about it, but I actually think it turned out well when we opened the windows by the stairs. It gave an impression of its own.
– Now we meet spring, which the product selection bears the stamp of. Outdoor games and equipment for 17 May are in place. And on Thursday, everyone who comes to ARK here at Kremmergaarden will get many good offers, she says.
