Oslo pride has not received any threats against this year’s festival, neither Mini Pride nor others. Oslo Pride announced this today, after Save the Children’s children’s festival in connection with Pride in Bergen has been canceled due to threats. So far, no changes have been made to the plans in Oslo.

– This is incredibly sad to hear, but is another example of the attitudes that exist out there. Society has a way to go before everyone can feel included, writes Dan Bjørke, head of Oslo Pride, in an email to Dagsavisen.

Mini Pride is a separate festival within the Pride festival, which will be at Kontraskjæret in Oslo. There will be both activities for the children and shows from the stage. Among other things, you can experience the roller skating show “Girls on Wheels”, the drag show “PrinsHen”, Tinashe Williamson and the musical adventure “You og me og vi 2-3-4”.

It is open to children and families, but also kindergartens and AKS.

Police busy with Nato

Dagsavisen has been in contact with the Oslo Police District, who state that it is too early to say how they plan for any threats against Mini Pride and Oslo Pride.

They indicate that they are currently busy with the major security mission linked to the NATO summit in Oslo, and say they must return to the matter at a later date.

Last year’s pride celebrations around the country were heavily influenced by the mass shooting in Oslo, which is being investigated as a terrorist attack.
