HAUGESUND: The police reported at 8.12pm a traffic accident between two cars at Biltema on E 134 Haukelivegen.
At 20.20 the police had arrived at the scene. What the police officers said de-dramatized the whole thing a bit:
– Only one car with a trailer is involved. No one should be injured, reported the operations center in the Sør-West police district.
The traffic passed in a field. The traffic glided gently past.
The police’s task leader Christian Alfredsen could confirm that only one car was involved.
The car must have come east and hit the trailer. And then most likely the car must have turned 180 degrees, according to what Haugesund’s Avis’ journalist on the spot could see from the situation.
Plank in the roadway
Alfredsen said that the fire brigade had to clear the road of planks and that the police would question the person driving the car.
There are no injuries, but the car has suffered some material damage.
The incident leader says that the police are waiting for tow trucks to be able to clear the road before it can be reopened.
At 20.50 the Road Traffic Center informs the National Road Administration that traffic is free after the traffic accident.
