On Saturday evening, the stage was set for the gala event Le Bal des Débutantes in Paris – where Leah Isadora Behn (17) was one of the hand-picked guests.
Princess Märtha Louise (52) and Ari Behn’s daughter, has in the past year, in addition to being part of the Norwegian royal family, made a big mark in Norway’s world of influence.
Never happened before: – Princess moment
Behn was one of only 20 girls from around the world selected for “Le Bal”, which took place at the venerable Shangri-La hotel in the French capital.
According to Se og Hør, she should have been the first Norwegian girl to have received an invitation to the exclusive ball.
Debuted
On Saturday evening, she was therefore present in the French city, where she shone in a powder pink dress by the Italian fashion designer Giambattista Valli. It is one of Crown Princess Mette-Marit’s (49) favourites.
She topped it all off by wearing a tiara – for the very first time.
– Yes, in fact she debuts with a tiara before her cousin Princess Ingrid Alexandra, who only wore it half a year after she turned 18. Leah is still only 17, Se og Hør’s royal house expert said on Sunday morning, when the pictures came out.
First time
When Ingrid Alexandra wore a tiara for the first time, during the princess’s 18th birthday, the choice fell on a tiara that had been inherited from Princess Ingeborg of Sweden, according to the royal house’s website. It is Ingrid Alexandra’s great-great-grandmother.
When Princess Alexandra passed away, it was Princess Ragnhild, Mrs Lorentzen, who inherited the jewel. The diadem was a gift from Princess Ragnhild’s children for Princess Ingrid Alexandra’s 18th birthday.
However, where Leah Isadora’s tiara originated is currently a mystery.
– Bull to mom’s wardrobe again
– Discussions
– It’s Christmas Eve and 17 May at the same time for jewelery fans when a surprising tiara debut appears, says Caroline Vagle now enthusiastically.
– I see the discussions are fully underway online. So far, no one has found out where Leah’s tiara is from, but it is not among the known ones belonging to the Norwegian royal family. I see someone has speculated that it looks like a Dane to be sold now. But it’s not that one, she adds.
Furthermore, the royal house expert speculates whether it could perhaps be that simple that the 17-year-old has borrowed it from a jeweler – without this being known for now.
