Crisis support for everyone in Eurovision

There are less than two weeks until a new winner of Eurovision will be chosen in Malmö in Sweden. Participants from all over Europe set their sights on our “sweet brother”, and now Aftonbladet writes that everything is in order for the music competition to run smoothly.

All artists who participate will be offered, among other things, crisis support and a psychologist in Malmö, and will have the opportunity to call a so-called crisis line around the clock if there is something they are burning with.

According to the Swedish newspaper, it will also be possible to talk to a psychologist in several different languages. This does not only apply to the artists, but regardless of what kind of role you have during Eurovision – whether you work around the artists or in the music competition in general.

The telephone line has been open since the end of March and has been available to those who work in SVT’s production in preparation for the competition.

This year it is Gåte who will fight for victory for Norway. Norwegian Marcus and Martinus (22) are also in the competition, but they represent the host country Sweden after winning Melodifestivalen earlier this year.

The music competition has already received enormous attention and some artists have threatened to withdraw.

Israel being allowed to participate in this year’s Eurovision has sent a wave of protest across Europe, and in many countries the competition is met with large demonstrations and threats of boycotts.

The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) has always said that it is out of the question to ban the country, as Russia was in 2022.
