Former Los Angeles Lakers player, Darius Morris (33), was found dead this week, Morris’ family confirmed to TMZ on Saturday morning.
– It is with great sadness that we announce the dear loss of our son, Darius Aaron Morris, the family said in a statement.

Morris was only 33 years old and is said to have been found on Thursday. The cause of death is not yet known.
TMZ, the New York Post and Sports Illustrated are among the media that have covered the death on Saturday.
The former basketball star was selected by the Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA draft in 2011. The club itself has mentioned the death in a post on Twitter/X.
– We are devastated by the loss of Darius Morris, writes the club.
The 33-year-old’s college team is also in mourning after the death.
