Xbox has set a date for its annual summer show. The event – called the Xbox Games Showcase – will be held on 9 June, from 19:00 Norwegian time.

Via its website, Xbox says that several of the company’s biggest game makers will be in place. That includes Activision, Blizzard, Bethesda and Xbox Game Studios. In addition, the team has brought in various partners who will show off what they have been working on.

The broadcast is followed by a separate unveiling for a mystery game. Xbox has not confirmed exactly what it will be, but according to the rumor mill, it is probably a new Call of Duty game.

Sources with knowledge of the situation tell The Verge that it is the next installment in Activision’s shooter series that will be given extra airtime. Apparently this will be launched towards the end of October.

According to the same sources, the main show will also include the unveiling of a new Gears of War. In addition, Xbox will apparently reveal release dates for several titles, including Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, Avowed and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.

Bethesda CEO Todd Howard recently confirmed that the Shattered Space expansion to Starfield will launch this fall. Thus, it is also not inconceivable that the studio will release new details and an official date.

You can follow the Xbox Games Showcase directly via YouTube, Twitch or Facebook, among others.
