(Brann – Rosenborg 2–1) For the second day in a row, the Brann fans could cheer for victory against the arch-rivals from Trondheim.

Brann women have played several times at Brann Stadion, but Sunday’s match against Rosenborg was the first after the team moved permanently from Stemmemyren to Kniksens Plass 1.
And in front of 6,000 spectators, it was a perfect housewarming party:

11 minutes before full time last year’s top scorerAnna Aahjem scored 13 goals in 22 games for Lyn in the 2023 season. She was joint top scorer with Vålerenga’s Olaug Tvedten. was played from by Østenstad, and alone with the goalkeeper Aahjem secured three points for the people from Bergen.
Before Aahjem’s winning goal it was “the soccer daughters”Frøya Brennskag-Dorsin, daughter of former RBK player Mikael Dorsin. Marthine Østenstad, daughter of former Viking and Southampton player Egil Østenstad which marked the match:
Early in the first half, 17-year-old Frøya Brennskag-Dorsin held out with the lead goal for the Trønders.
Just after the break, captain Marthine Østenstad scored the equalizer from the penalty spot.
– To be completely honest, I was very nervous. It was really nice to see it finish. We got to show off after moving into the stadium, says a cheerful Østenstad to TV 2.
Then Aahjem appeared and ensured that the women did as the men’s team did and beat Rosenborg at home.
The victory means that Brann has 12 points after five games. Rosenborg in second place is separated by three points, but the trønder has played one match more.
Vålerenga sit at the top of the Toppserien with 18 points from six games.
