On the night of Sunday, the police went out to Breidablikk in Sandefjord after reports that two masked men with firearms had turned up at a party with approx. 15 women.
– The women were robbed of phones, money and jewellery, operations manager Jan Kristian Johnsrud at the South-East police district told NRK early on Sunday morning.
According to Johnsrud, the police still do not have a complete overview of the sequence of events.
– We are quite sure that this was a robbery. We believe it has happened, but we do not yet have a full overview of what has happened, he says.
The police still do not have control over either the perpetrators or any weapons.
– We have been out with both dogs and drones, but so far have had no hits, says Johnsrud.
According to the operations manager, the women at the party had come from large parts of Eastern Norway to take part in the celebration.
He explains that none of them speak particularly well in either Norwegian or English.
– We are now waiting for an interpreter, so that we can conduct proper interviews with these women, says Johnsrud to NRK.
The perpetrators had left the scene on foot and a witness had seen them get into a car not far from the scene.
– No one was injured during the incident. We have started an investigation and reported the case, says Johnsrud.
The police received a report about the incident at 02:50 on Sunday night.
