KONGEPARKEN (Dagbladet): – Norwegians are girls who like girls, boys who like boys, and Russians who like cocaine, whores and “Ballin'”.

This is what apparently King Harald says in a fake video that is shown just before the popular music group Ballinciaga takes the stage during Landstreff Stavanger at approximately 16.50 on Saturday afternoon.

– And the last time I met the boys in “Ballin'”, I took royal lines with them at Skaugum. They can really party, continues the “king.”

“Taking lines” is a slang term for taking the drug cocaine.

Dagbladet has contacted the royal house for a comment on the case. The royal family has not yet responded.

Ballinciaga has the following message to Dagbladet about the video stunt:

– We love the king. The Russian loves the king. No one is a stranger to a party, not even royalty.

Ruining the charts

According to its own statement, the national meeting in Kongeparken at Ålgård in Rogaland is Norway’s biggest festival for 18- and 19-year-olds, and has been sold out 24 years in a row. This year, 15,000 Russians are registered.

The music group Ballinciaga has ravaged the charts with their danceable hit songs in recent years.

The group has also attracted attention with its fierce stage shows. During the Stavern Festival last year, several people reacted when the boys on stage were visited by women they declared to be “babes” – ladies dressed in bikinis – during the concert.

Now they are joking with Norway’s head of state.

Went around the world

In 2016, the king’s New Year’s speech was praised for capturing the spirit of the times in modern Norway when he addressed the nation.

“Norwegians are girls who like girls, boys who like boys, and girls and boys who like each other. Norwegians believe in God, Allah, Everything and Nothing,” said King Harald in the speech that went around the world.

From the stage in Kongeparken, Ballinciaga presents a digitally generated King Harald who gives a rewritten version of the 2016 speech.

Also present at the national meeting is the king’s granddaughter, Leah Isadorah Behn. Dagbladet is not aware of whether Behn attended the Ballinciaga concert.

Was illegal before

In 2015, the new Criminal Code of 2005 entered into force. One of the changes is the repeal of section 101 of the constitution – which deals with insults to majesty.

Previously, one could be punished with prison for insulting the regent, if the regent in the Kingdom of Norway asked for it.

“If any defamation is committed against the King or the Regent, the guilty party is punished with a fine (journ.anm, journ.anm) or imprisonment for up to 5 years”, it says in the old law – which therefore no longer applies.
