Note! Spoiler alert! This case contains details of who wins “Company Lauritzen” i Saturday’s episode on TV 2.

On Saturday, it was ready for the final in “Kompani Lauritzen” on TV 2, where the five remaining participants were to embark on a final mission against the “enemy”.

In previous seasons of the programme, this task has started together, before the participants are given a final task individually in the sprint to the finish line.

This season, however, the production has made changes in the final, and in the end there were two winners of “Kompani Lauritzen” 2024.

– It’s not about winning

After a long and eventful day, with several trials and challenges along the way, in the end it was the partner couple Stinius Maurstad and Knut Marius Djupvik who were able to let loose the jubilation and call themselves the winners of “Kompani Lauritzen”.

Speaking to Nettavisen, the communications manager for the programme, Siril Vatne Meling, explains that the reason why two winners were chosen this year is that the programme’s focus is not on the competition itself and winning.

– “Kompani Lauritzen” is not about winning, but about overcoming one’s own fears and limitations, building teams and putting others before oneself. Choosing a winner is therefore actually a bit against the basic concept.

– That’s why we don’t focus so much on who wins. The fact that this year’s finalists came together as partners also gave us something different and something new, which we think suits the format well.

The winner’s prize is the same as in previous seasons, i.e. each one’s own military sword.

Just behind the winning pair came partner couple Silje Nordnes and Mikkel Bratt Silset. As Robin Hofset chose to withdraw at the last minute, Jonas Lihaug had to complete the assignment alone. He finished last.

– Sorry

The two winners looked both surprised and relieved to finally reach the finish line on Saturday, and with that also to be done with the tough military rule they have been through. But blood, sweat and tears over several weeks have undoubtedly made the relationships between the participants very special.

– It was completely raw. And to win together with him, Maurstad hunts. It was really fun, and I really felt the brotherhood with him who I have stood next to for many, many hours, says Djupvik in the episode.

Maurstad is also proud, surprised and humbled to have won “Kompani Lauritzen”. Through the press contact for the programme, the 29-year-old says that it has been a rich experience.

– The concept of “victory” in that context seems a bit watered down after so many big and small victories during the stay. The whole of the last 24 hours was like being in an action movie that unfolded around you, and who was the first to climb that mountain in the end to be welcomed by the rest of the gang does not necessarily reflect who were the best company tigers, says Ant city.

– But it was a completely raw experience, and Djupvik delivered both in terms of performance and fun along the way, he adds.

Maurstad also takes the opportunity to apologize to those who cheered for the second place team, Nordnes and Silset.

– Thanks to everyone who made that day possible, including all hired actors who kept us company in the “enemy” transport vehicles. And apologies to everyone who cheered for Silset and was sure he would win.

Bad loser

In solitary majesty, Jonas Lihaug finished last in Saturday’s final. In the previous episode, he lost his partner Robin Hofset when he chose to withdraw from the competition, and Lihaug therefore had to finish on his own.

Lihaug has shown earlier in the season that he is not at all happy to lose, and to Nettavisen he does not hide that it is naturally sad to come last.

– It was good old-fashioned bad luck. It made sense as it’s the first time there was a final with six in it. Then it was bad luck that Rob’s fear of heights got the better of him, but that’s just the way it is.

– I was a little angry at losing the competition, but at the same time I felt that I had turned around quite quickly. I’m always a pretty bad loser, but it’s entirely up to me how quickly I turn around.

Lihaug brought an aid with him into the last competition, but says himself that it was of no help.

– It was only a nuisance and helped zero percent. It would be cool if I was actually rewarded. It was just crap and it ruined it for me.
