Princess Madeleine: Getting nothing

--

On Monday, the Swedish royal house presented its annual report, which tells, among other things, about the finances of the royal family.

– A dark cloud over the family

Here, among other things, it is revealed how the apanage is distributed. Apanajen is how much money the various members receive from the state in “salary”.

According to Expressen, the Swedish royal family received a framework amount of approximately 14 million Swedish kroner. The framework amount is only part of the tax money paid to the royal household and is to cover “expenses of a non-official nature”.

The report states that the money was distributed between King Carl Gustaf (78) and Queen Silvia (80), Crown Princess Victoria (46) and Prince Daniel (50), Prince Carl Philip (44) and Princess Sofia (39).

Dumps the price – again

The royal couple will receive eight million Swedish kroner, the crown princess couple will receive 4.7 million Swedish kroner and Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia will receive 1.1 million Swedish kroner.

The royal couple’s youngest daughter, Princess Madeleine (41), however, does not get a piece of the cake.

The reason why Madeleine and her family are not paid money is because she does not do official tasks for the royal house, writes the Swedish newspaper.

It was back in 2022 that the news came that King Carl Gustaf had taken the surprising decision to cut the apanage to his daughter.

New photos are causing a stir

– It comes from the fact that they have completely different roles, and which costs are compatible with those roles. Otherwise, you might say that in a normal family the children should get the same amount of money, but that is not the case here, said the court’s financial manager Jan Lindman to Expressen at the time.

Six years ago, Princess Madeleine moved to Florida in the USA, together with her husband Chris O’Neill (49) and their three children.

However, the family has planned to move back to Sweden during this year, the Swedish royal house has previously stated.

Whether a return to Sweden will get her back on the appanage lists remains to be seen.
