Age: 43
Marital status: Single

Live now: Greenland
Workplace: I’m a freelancer, so I work everywhere

What engages you right now?
– Mental and mental health, and talking to young people. I try to be a good role model and give something back. Norway had never gone around without zealots and volunteering, and then I try to stand up myself.

What is your most controversial position
– That the most popular program on TV, “Kompani Lauritzen”, glorifies war. In any case, in these times of so much war and hostility, we must also have it as reality and entertainment. I think that’s strange. I think we will think differently about it in ten years.

What are you proud of having achieved in the past year?
– That I have started training. I was very active in my childhood and I played football, but I put my football boots on the shelf. But now I have “stepped up my game”, as they say. I have been a supporting member at Evo for a few years, but now we are up and running. We’ll see how long it lasts.

Introvert or extrovert? Very extroverted. Maybe a little too much
Right from the start or cloud of conflict? Straight from the liver. It can be a bit much here too, I think. I should learn to shut up sometimes
Carefully planned or take it as it comes? Take things as they come. I live like it’s my last day
Save or splurge? Treats. I don’t know if I’ll be alive tomorrow
“Dax18” or “The Farm”? I am the first and only person in history to have been kicked out of “Dax18”, so I choose “The Farm”
Board games or PlayStation? Board games. It is a bit more popular and you can sit and talk to people

When was the last time you cried and why?
– When I watched “Black Humor”. The guy I made the show with took his own life a month ago, so I shed a tear when I saw him on the TV screen.

What is the bravest thing you have done?
– When I had to walk the plank at “71 degrees north”. I really wanted to retire, and since I have a fear of heights, it was very far away for me. The production had to talk to me for an hour, but I think I was tough and brave who did it.

What is the most dramatic thing you have experienced?
– Witnessing a guy being shot at a nightclub in Oslo. I was talking to someone and then someone started fighting next to me. Suddenly someone pulled out a gun and shot another guy in the ass. It was very unpleasant to hear that sound and see him lying there. But it went well with him.

And… when was the last time you lost your mind?
– It is part of my job, to try and fail. Then it quickly ends with you getting lost. As a comedian, it’s not just about making jokes, especially in the test phase with material.

– I also made quite a few mistakes at “Camp kulinaris”. I was going to flambé a steak and I took ten times more brandy than it should have, so I was about to burn down the kitchen. The flames were in the ceiling. And I was about to burn Johannes Magnussen’s face, he lives off his face and I was about to destroy it. But luckily it went well.

What do you regret most in life?
– That I took a little too long to dare to give a damn. To not take myself so seriously and care so much about what others think. It came a little late in life.

What’s the sickest rumor you’ve heard about yourself?
– That I went on ecstasy when I was “Dax18” in 2017. It was a PR stunt for a new TV show, and I spoke to an imaginary wolf that was to be drawn in later. But the host didn’t like it and I was kicked out. Afterwards there were bad rumors because I spoke to this wolf, so several people thought I was drugged on TV. It was a bit crazy, when Alex Rosén or Nicolay Ramm do something it’s just pranks, but when I do something like that it has to be about drugs.

What is the nicest thing someone has said to you?
– I have been called the Moroccan George Clooney by my elderly neighbour. It was very nice and it made my day.

Who would you cancel and why?
– I am very much against this, I have stood in the breach for people to be able to tolerate each other a little. This is a fire torch, but if I had to choose someone, it would have to be Jens Stoltenberg. I think he should try to have more dialogue with our neighbors in Russia.

And… What do you think about the cancellation culture?
– I think it’s absolutely fantastic. For me, Norwegian values are about being able to tolerate hearing other people’s opinions without shutting people out, and we will get nowhere without dialogue. I am very, very against that.

Who/what would you like to pay tribute to and why?
– Rolv Wesenlund and the character Marve Fleksnes. He is Norway to me. My father loved him and I was fed Fleksnes in my childhood. He is the reason I became a comedian.

What pisses you off?
– I feel that we have picked up a culture from the USA and that we cultivated according to them. We will constantly do as they do and follow their trends. I think Norway has lost its identity. We were known to be a country where people tolerated each other and were patient with each other, but now we have in a way allied ourselves with the big bully.

If you have 500,000 to invest, how would you invest?
– I am not a shareholder, but I would probably invest in a cafe in Morocco. Started a small and quiet cafe by the coast and just ate myself.

What is the best or worst gift you have received or given?
– I got a home-knitted sweater from the neighbor, it was very nice that she took the time to knit me a sweater. I still wear the Marius sweater when winter comes. The worst gift is a nose clipper I got from my colleagues. I took that hint.

Give us some quick recommendations!

Book/newspaper/magazine: My book, “Daddy loves Fleksnes”. It’s a happy story
Series/film: “The Head” on Viaplay, a crime series I can’t put down
Music: I’m a bit “old school” so it has to be 2Pac’s album “All Eyez on Me”
App: Snapchat. I like things to be deleted after I’ve seen them
SoMe account: @skrellexskrellex and @annema_yuvali
Food/drink: Bobbo’s Pizza at Bøler never fails. Love Urge
Holiday destination: The original Cardamom City, Essaouira in Morocco. It was there that Thorbjørn Egner wrote Kardemommeby, not many people know that

What are you most looking forward to right now?
– Summer holidays and D vitamins!

And honestly:

Pineapple on pizza? Yay or nay?
– My father is a pizza baker and loves pineapple on pizza. He forced me for a period to try it, and if you force people long enough, you like it. So I say yay.
