(Elbil24): The Kia EV6 made a splash when it was named car of the year in Europe in 2022. Since then, the model has established itself in Norway and at the time of writing, almost 5,200 copies of the EV6 have been registered in this country.
There will be more, if Kia gets its way. They are now launching a market-adapted version of the EV6 in Norway – tailored to the needs of Norwegians.
– The EV6 sells steadily and well, but we have also received signals from our sellers that many customers want an EV6 with a large battery and four-wheel drive for under NOK 500,000. We have now got that, says communications manager Christian Lagaard at Kia Bil Norge in a press release.

Admittedly, we’re not going much below NOK 500,000, but for NOK 499,000 you can now get the special edition version with a large battery, four-wheel drive, trailer weight of 1,600 kilograms and a WLTP range of 484 kilometres.
– We have looked at what we think Norwegians need and have secured a good and comprehensive package together with the factory, explains Lagaard.
He believes the new EV6 version is a well-equipped edition.
– We take away some equipment that we think people are not as interested in splurging on in today’s economic situation, but we keep what we think is important, says Laagard.
Among the equipment you get if you choose the new version are heated front and rear seats, heated steering wheel, pre-heating of the battery, vegan leather seats, electric front seats with memory, lumbar support, charging plate for the mobile phone, electric tailgate, adaptive cruise control, reversing camera, smart key , great navigation, OTA updates and Apple CarPlay.

If you want this car, but have no need for four-wheel drive, you can shave NOK 30,000 off the price.
For NOK 469,000 you get an EV6 with the same large battery, the same trailer weight and the same equipment.
However, the range increases when one engine is removed. The rear-wheel drive, specially adapted EV6 version gets a WLTP range of 528 kilometers. This means that here we have a family SUV with a 53 mile range for under NOK 470,000.
