Electric car, Nissan | Plunges into the price war: Cuts the price by NOK 50,000

Nissan has always had a good grip on the electric car market, but the Ariya has ended up a bit in the shadow of its main competitors Tesla Model Y, VW ID. 4 and Toyota bZ4x.

The market has also become even tougher after Xpeng just unveiled the price of the G6.

Cuts up to NOK 50,000

And now the company is taking action:

– The prices are adjusted down by between NOK 40,000 and 50,000, depending on the model. This means an entry price for the Nissan Ariya 63 kWt and front-wheel drive of NOK 349,900 and for the Ariya with 87 kWt and four-wheel drive (e-4ORCE) of NOK 459,300, Nissan writes in a press release.

The prices given are, of course, without winter wheels, and before any equipment upgrades.

Updated 15.13: Nissan initially stated that the prices did not include delivery costs, but the company states that it is included.

To sweeten the pill, they also offer both an interest campaign of 1.99 per cent, and the choice between a home charger or service agreement.

Are honest in the background

According to Nissan, it is simply a matter of them having access to more cars than they are able to sell:

– We have a good delivery situation and want to reach even more customer groups, which we hope to be able to do with this price reduction, writes Nissan.

They also point out that it is an adaptation to “the increasing competition in the Norwegian market”.
