The price cuts in a chilly Norwegian car market continue unabated: The Norwegian Nissan importer is lowering the price of the coupé SUV Ariya by between NOK 40,000 and 50,000, it says in a press release on Friday morning.
This means that the entry price for the Ariya with front-wheel drive and a battery of 63 kilowatt hours will be NOK 349,900 plus shipping and delivery (just over NOK 10,000), which is down from NOK 391,300. It has a WLTP range of up to 404 kilometers.
– Good delivery situation
With the large battery of 87 kilowatt hours, a range of up to 498 kilometers and four-wheel drive, the price is NOK 459,300, also excluding shipping and delivery. That is exactly NOK 40,000 down from today’s NOK 499,300.
You can also get the large battery, front-wheel drive and lowest equipment level (87 kWt Engage) for under NOK 400,000 with the new price list – down from NOK 439,000 today.
The biggest price cut is on the most heavily equipped model, which drops from just under NOK 600,000 to just under NOK 550,000 – which of course is due to the fact that you also get the effect of reduced VAT on this one.
The background must be a “good delivery situation”, according to the importer, but also “an adaptation to the increasing competition in the Norwegian market”.
– We hope this will contribute to good traffic to our Nissan dealers, increased visibility and not least increased sales of our popular Nissan Ariya, says country manager Anders Mamen-Lund for Norway in Nissan Nordic Europe in the message.
Among the cheapest with four-wheel drive
In addition to the price cut, the Nissan importer is also offering an interest rate campaign of 1.99% nominal, in addition to customers being able to choose between a charging box from Defa or a service agreement. It applies until 30 June.
Ariya thus becomes one of the most affordable in its segment with four-wheel drive – and, for example, significantly more affordable than the most affordable Model Y at the same time. See a quick specification and price comparison in the table below (prices mostly including shipping and delivery):

The king of comfort
When we drove the Ariya in the fall of 2022, we called it the “comfort king of the class” and particularly highlighted the soft and comfortable damping and low noise level.
VG colleague Hanne Hattrem did the same:
– The seats are great, the driving position brilliant. Very good noise reduction also contributes to a feeling of quality that I have never experienced in any mainstream Nissan, she wrote in her test.
So far this year, the Nissan Ariya is Norway’s tenth most registered car model, with 848 cars. The leader is clearly the Tesla Model Y with 5405, but in April it was the small Volvo EX30 that ran away with the top position. Almost 1,200 new EX30s were registered during the month.
Nissan’s Norwegian website will be updated with the new prices during the day, says the importer. The price cut applies from today.
