Lower electricity prices weigh on Bonheur | Finansavisen

Bonheur delivered an operating result before depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) of NOK 596 million in the first quarter of 2024, down from NOK 926 million in the same period last year. The result after tax went from NOK 565 to NOK 304 million.

Revenues went from NOK 2,999 to NOK 2,973 million.

For Renewable Energy, EBITDA came in at NOK 476 million, down from NOK 763 million in the fourth quarter of 2022. Operating income fell from NOK 1,170 to 724 million.

The result for the renewable business was affected by the fact that electricity prices were on average 39 per cent lower compared to the same period the previous year.

Strong order backlog

Wind Service contributed revenues of NOK 1,183 million, compared to NOK 882 million in the first quarter last year. EBITDA went from NOK 206 to NOK 174 million.

According to the company, the wind business has a strong order backlog of 514 million euros for the Tern vessels, and an order backlog of 105 million euros for the Blue Wind vessel.

The cruise business brought in revenues of NOK 788 million, up from NOK 682 million in the same period last year. EBITDA went from NOK 5 to NOK 2 million.

For the investment business, the top line came in at NOK 278 million, and thus rose from NOK 265 million in the first quarter of 2023. EBITDA went from minus NOK 48 to minus NOK 55 million.
