The main index on the Oslo Stock Exchange rose 0.28 from the start of the last trading day of the week.

North Sea oil (burnt spot) is traded for around USD 83.80 at the opening of the market, an increase of 0.2 per cent since midnight. On Wednesday, oil prices fell markedly after the weekly oil inventory figures report from the US Department of Energy (EIA) was presented.

This is how it looks for some of the most traded shares:

  • Frontline rises 2.07 percent
  • Equinor is down 0.53 percent
  • DNB rises 0.21 per cent
  • Aker BP falls 0.19 percent
  • Norsk Hydro is up 0.97 percent

Orkla earned NOK 1.9 billion before tax

The grocery supplier Orkla has presented figures for January, February and March on Friday morning.

The quarterly figures show a profit before tax of NOK 1.9 billion, an increase from NOK 1.7 billion at the same time last year. Turnover landed at NOK 17.1 billion in the quarter, up from NOK 16.2 billion.

In advance, a profit before tax of NOK 1.8 billion and a turnover of NOK 17.2 billion was expected, according to Bloomberg.

The share is up 2.12 percent.

Profit shrank for Bonheur

Among quarterly figures and updates from companies before the stock market opening we find:

  • Bonheur’s profit before tax fell to NOK 425 million from NOK 777 million in the first quarter of last year. The share is down 7.20 percent.
  • Hexagon Purus delivers a profit before tax of minus NOK 167 million in the first quarter, from minus NOK 155 million a year earlier. The turnover was NOK 407 million, up from NOK 244 million. The share rises 7.39 percent.
  • Deep Value Driller had an operating profit of 8.5 million dollars in the first quarter of 2024. In the same period the previous year, the operating profit was minus 4.4 million dollars. The share is up 0.54 percent.
  • The IT company Itera ended with a profit before tax of NOK 18 million in the first quarter. The share falls 2.94 percent.
  • Akva Group’s revenues fell to NOK 784 million in the quarter, down from NOK 874 million. The share is down 2.13 percent.
